How do I create my first budget?

Go to Budget & Finances in the sidebar, then click New Budget. The Budget Wizard will guide you through setting your monthly income, allocating your tithe/giving first, and dividing the rest into spending categories. The whole process takes about 5 minutes.

What is the difference between the Free, Standard, Premium, and Family plans?

The Free plan gives you basic budgeting and goal tracking. Standard adds bank sync (Plaid), unlimited budgets, and the Investment Simulation Game. Premium adds AI financial coaching, advanced analytics, and the Digital Vault. Family adds up to 6 family members, parental controls, and shared family goals.

How do I invite my spouse or family members?

Go to Family Management in the sidebar. Click Invite Member, enter their email address, and choose their role (Adult, Teen, or Child). They will receive an email with a link to join your family group. Family sharing requires the Family plan.

Why won't my bank connect?

Accepted Answer

Bank connections use Plaid. If your bank is not connecting: (1) Double-check your online banking username and password, (2) Some banks require you to approve the connection in their app first, (3) If you use multi-factor authentication, have your phone ready. If the issue persists, try disconnecting and reconnecting.

My bank account shows as disconnected. What do I do?

Banks periodically require re-authentication for security. On the Bank Sync page you will see a Reconnect button next to any disconnected account. Click it and log in to your bank again. This does not delete any of your transaction history.

How often does my bank data sync?

Accepted Answer

You can manually sync at any time by clicking Sync Now on the Bank Sync page. Transactions typically appear within a few minutes of syncing. Automatic background sync runs daily for active connections.

How do I upgrade my plan?

Accepted Answer

Go to Billing in the sidebar and click Upgrade Plan. You can choose monthly or annual billing. Annual plans save you about 17%. Your new features activate immediately after payment.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Billing in the sidebar and click Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged again. Your data is preserved so you can reactivate at any time.

I was charged but my plan did not upgrade. What do I do?

First, refresh the page and check your plan status in Billing. If the issue persists, use the Report a Problem form in Help and Support and select Billing Issue. Include your email address and the charge date. We will resolve it within 24 hours.

Can I get a refund?

We offer refunds within 7 days of your initial subscription or upgrade if you have not used the premium features. Contact support via the Report a Problem form with your account email and reason for the refund request.

What is the tithe-first principle in the budget wizard?

Based on biblical financial principles, we recommend allocating your giving (tithe) before any other expense. The Budget Wizard asks you to set your giving percentage first, typically 10%, before dividing the rest into living expenses, savings, and debt payoff.

How do I add a transaction to my budget?

Open your budget from the Budget & Finances page, then click Add Transaction. Enter the amount, select the category it belongs to, add the date, and optionally add a note. The category spent amount updates immediately.

Can I import transactions from my bank automatically?

Yes. Once your bank is connected via Bank Sync (Standard plan and above), go to the Bank Sync page and click Import to Budget. You can select which budget to import into and the app will match transactions to your categories automatically.

How do I track progress toward a financial goal?

Go to Financial Goals in the sidebar. Each goal shows a progress bar with your current amount vs. your target. Click Add Contribution on any goal to record a payment toward it. The app will show you whether you are on track to hit your target date.

What is the Digital Vault?

The Digital Vault (Premium plan) is a secure encrypted storage area for your important financial documents. All files are encrypted with AES-256 before storage. You can organize them by category and share access with trusted family members.

Go to Learning Center in the sidebar. You will find video lessons, podcasts, and animated content organized by topic. Each lesson includes a short quiz to reinforce what you learned. Your progress is tracked automatically.

The Investment Simulation Game (Standard plan and above) lets you practice financial decisions in a safe, simulated environment. You make choices about investing, giving, spending, and debt payoff and see how those decisions affect your simulated net worth over time.

How do I change my password?

Your account uses Manus OAuth for authentication, so your password is managed through your Manus account. You can update it at manus.im in your account settings. Changes take effect immediately.

How do I delete my account?

To delete your account and all associated data, use the Report a Problem form in Help and Support and select Other. Write Account deletion request in the description. We will process the deletion within 5 business days and send a confirmation email.

Is my financial data secure?

Yes. We use bank-level security: all data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Bank connections use Plaid which never stores your bank credentials. Your Digital Vault files are individually encrypted before storage. We do not sell your data to third parties.
